Webster City downs Humboldt girls, 71-39

Hot-shooting Webster City raced out to a 22-6 first quarter lead and never looked back in rolling past Humboldt, 71-39 in a girls' North Central Conference basketball game in Humboldt Friday night (Jan. 11).

Taylor McKinney scored 40 points to power the Lynx. Humboldt, 3-10 overall, 0-7 in the NCC, was paced by Jori Hajek with eight points and Lily Groat with seven. Mady Lange made six.

Humboldt returns to action at home on Jan. 15 against Iowa Falls-Alden.
