Humboldt girls sidelined by Roland-Story, 56-43

Humboldt challenged No. 11 ranked Roland-Story early on before falling to the Norse, 56-43 in a Class 3A Girls Regional Tournament game played in Story City Saturday night (Feb. 9).

Jori Hajek scored 13 points to pace Humboldt, which ends its season at 4-17 overall. Roland-Story moved to 17-5 and advanced into a regional semifinal round game on Feb. 13 in Story City, where they will face Carroll, which rolled to a 61-26 victory over Greene County. The other half of Region 2 had Clear Lake beating Pocahontas Area and Carroll Kuemper running over Southeast Valley, 71-24.
