Kevin Dresser named Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year

Humboldt's Kevin Dresser, shown here at a press conference two years ago when he was named head wrestling coach at Iowa State University, has been named Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year in his second year leading the Cyclone program.
Humboldt native Kevin Dresser, who is completing his second year as head wrestling coach at Iowa State University, has been named Big 12 Conference Coach of the Year.
The No. 15 ranked Iowa State wrestling team placed second in the Big 12 Conference tournament last weekend in Tulsa.
The Cyclones totaled 114.5 points to finish behind first-place Oklahoma State (158). The Cyclones had one individual champion and advanced nine of their 10 wrestlers into the NCAA championships Mar. 21-23 in Pittsburgh, PA.
