Kevin Bratland named NEWA Coach of the Year

KEVIN BRATLAND
Coast Guard Academy head wrestling coach Kevin Bratland, a Dakota City native and former Humboldt High and Wartburg College standout, was recently named the New England Wrestling Association Coach of the Year.
Bratland, in his fifth season as head coach at the Coast Guard Academy, led the Bears to a 9-3 dual meet record and the team finished 18th nationally and the Bears were 28th as a team at the NCAA Division III National Championships.
