HHS girls dominate in NCC golf triangular

Humboldt’s varsity girls’ golf team opened North Central Conference dual action last week by dominating Algona and Hampton-Dumont-CAL in a home meet at Humboldt Country Club on April 16.
The Wildcats finished with 178 strokes, easily topping HDC (203) and Algona (245).
Kenzie McCartan shot a 41 to earn meet medalist honors for Humboldt. She was backed by Frances Carlson with 44, Nora Carlson with 45 and Kelly Boleyn with 48. Arielle Naeve (54) and Ashlee Wergeland (68) had non-counting scores for the Wildcats.
