Humboldt won the North Central Conference golf tournament on Monday, May 6, making it a season sweep after winning the dual team title the previous week. Humboldt returned to the top of North Central Conference girls’ golf by winning the league championship on Monday (May 6) at Fort Dodge Country Club.
The Wildcats, runners-up to Clear Lake a year ago, avenged that finish by out-shooting the Lions by 18 strokes this year, finishing with 350 total. Clear Lake was next at 368 with Hampton-Dumont-CAL third at 409.
Frances Carlson led the Wildcats with a runner-up finish individually in shooting a 14-over-par 85. Ashley DeLong of Clear Lake was medalist with an 83.
The Wildcats also had Nora Carlson fourth at 86, Kenzie McCartan with 88 and Kelly Boleyn with 91 as counting scores.
