Graduating seniors honored at commencement

Kelly Boleyn, Calvin Carlson and Isabella Luu were named Valedic-torians of the Humboldt High School graduating Class of 2019 at commencement ceremonies held Sunday afternoon, May 26, in the high school gymnasium. Salutato-rian honors went to Yureni Carva-jal. Isabella Luu and Carter Holm were awarded the Marvyl Friesth Award.
Silver Cord Award recognition: Calvin Carlson, Arielle Naeve and Madeleine Ruzicka.
This year’s graduating class has 94 members and 19 are in National Honor Society. Sixteen students earned a 3.0-3.499 Grade Point Average during their four years at Humboldt High School.
A select few, finished their high school career with a grade point average above 3.5, they include: Kyah Arnold, Ebonie Bakken, Ananda Boyd, Sydney Burns, Joey Busse, Rachel Copper, Cierra Payeur Douglas, Hudson Gargano, Elise Halvorson, Noah Helmer, Elizabeth Hildreth, Hannah Him-rod, Sophia Hjelmeland, Carter Holm, Joseph Kunert, Brandon Landolt, Jade Lange, Abi Lanning, Quinn Mooney, Arielle Naeve, Madeleine Ruzicka, Sawyer Sav-ery, Teisha Sritharan, Owen Ter-williger, and Lucas Volf.
