Humboldt baseball team split 2 games in home tournament

The Humboldt baseball team split two games in their home tournament last Saturday, June 1.

The Wildcats lost the first game to Estherville-Lincoln Central, 15-13, before winning 12-2 over Central Springs.
The two-game split gave the Wildcats a 5-2 overall record entering their third week of the regular season.

Humboldt baseball team dominates SE Valley, 14-1
The Humboldt baseball team scored 8 runs in the fourth inning and went on to whip Southeast Valley 14-1 in five innings Thursday night (May 30) in Humboldt in non-conference action. Cade Witzke pitched a 4-hitter for the Wildcats, who moved to 4-1 in the season. Witzke also homered in the 3rd inning and Joey Busse doubled twice for the Wildcats.

Humboldt drubs East Sac County 14-1
The Humboldt baseball team improved to 3-1 on the season by drubbing East Sac County, 14-1 on May 29.

Jacob Thurm struck out nine pitching and also homered at bat to lead Humboldt. Thurm and Joey Busse each had three hits. Michael Brightly also homered.
