“You don’t have to like country music to like Jason Brown,” Humboldt native and multi-media promoter Andy Erickson said.
Erickson works for Eppo Productions and thought Jason Brown, a client he has worked with in the past, would be a perfect fit for a fundraiser concert for the Humota Theater, in front of the Humota on Sumner Avenue on Saturday, June 15. Gates will open at 4 p.m. with local entertainment, followed by the concert starting at 6 p.m.
“His ‘Along the Way’ tour is making big things happen in small towns, so this is a perfect tie in with what Jason is doing to help communities and entertain his fans,” Erickson said.
Tickets will be available the day of the show and are $15 apiece with children under 12 free if accompanied by an adult.
“This is a family friendly show. It is something that everyone will enjoy. We encourage people to bring lawn chairs to sit and relax, or get up and dance if you want,” Erickson said.
The concert will not only feature Brown, who has developed a loyal following in the Midwest, but will also feature Neil Hewitt, an up and coming talent, also from Iowa, who has just released an extended play record, 6 A.M.
“We are very grateful to have these top flight acts and Jason and Andy and his crew are all donating their time and talents, so we can have a successful fundraiser for the Humota,” Humota Movie Group Board President Chad Theesfeld said.
The 500 and 600 blocks of Sumner Avenue will be closed to traffic late Friday night and all day Saturday and Saturday night on June 15.
