Humboldt benefit concert to be rebroadcast

Mediacom cable subscribers will have the opportunity to watch coverage of the Along the Way Tour benefit concert, featuring Iowa native country singer Jason Brown beginning Sun., June 16 at 10 p.m. on MC22.
Mediacom channel MC22 (Ch. 22 or 822) will air coverage of the benefit concert for all Mediacom cable subscribers on Sunday, June 16 at 10 p.m. The benefit concert will raise money to complete renovations at the historical Humota Movie Theatre in Humboldt. The theater recently reopened under new ownership, a non-profit called the Humota Movie Group, who revived the small-town theater to support local arts and culture.
The concert takes place Saturday, June 15 in front of the Humota Movie Theatre. Tickets are $15 apiece with children under 12 free. Tickets are available at the Humota box office, at Primeseats.com and at the gate. The gates will open at 4 p.m., with the National Anthem and local dance squads performing beginning at 4:30 p.m. Neil Hewitt will take the stage at 6 p.m. with Jason Brown performing beginning at 7 p.m.
The Along the Way Tour concert series focuses on helping community projects in small towns. The goal of the concert will be to bring thousands of people to Humboldt for a large concert that will raise the funds needed to complete renovations.
