Chamber announces administrative coordinator

Cassie Harklau is the new administrative coordinator for the Humboldt-Dakota City Chamber of Commerce.
Helping organize Humboldt’s July 4 activities is keeping her busy right away.
“We’re already getting quite a few entries for the July 4 parade. We’re planning on the usual parade route unless the downtown renovation project starts before the 4th of July,” Harklau said.
Activities following the 4th of July include the Cy-Hawk Rivalry with RVTV on Sept. 12 and the Taste of History Wine Walk on Sept. 21.
“The Cy-Hawk Rivalry with Channel 13’s RVTV coming to town is a huge event. We need volunteers to help make it even more fun for everyone,” Harklau said.
She said the Chamber Board members are excited to take on a new event this year, the Taste of History Wine Walk at the Humboldt County Historical Museum on Sept. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
