BREAKING NEWS: E-911 service now restored on landlines

The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office has alerted residents that 911 service is once again working for landline phones in the county, as of 9:10 a.m. Tuesday, June 25.

The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office is reporting that the 911 outage in Humboldt County for customers using a landline telephone is now over and service has been restored. The department reported at 9:10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25.
At 4 p.m. on Monday, June 24, the HCSO reported that 911 was temporarily inoperable for landline telephones with pre-fixes of 332, 373, 378, 379, 604, and 824. The department urged residents to call 911 on their cell phones or call (515) 332-2600 to report emergencies.
Again, 911 landline service has been restored in the county.
