Wildcats fall at Garrigan, 7-4

Algona Bishop Garrigan used a 5-run third inning to take command against Humboldt and went on to post a 7-4 victory over the Wildcats in a non-conference game at Algona on July 11. The Wildcats slipped to 19-10 overall.

Lynx turn back Humboldt, 11-4
Webster City jumped out to a 9-1 lead after four innings and went on to beat Humboldt, 11-4 in a North Central Conference baseball game in Humboldt on Wednesday (July 10) night.

The Wildcats moved to 9-3 in the NCC. The victory gave the Lynx a share of the conference title. They can win the NCC outright by beating Iowa Falls-Alden on Monday, July 15.

Humboldt will play at Spencer on Friday, July 12, in non-conference action.

Humboldt wraps ups its conference slate by playing at Algona on Monday, July 15. The Wildcats host Storm Lake on July 16 in their regular season finale before starting district tournament play on July 19 against Webster City at Slater in a 5 p.m. contest.
