The Humboldt Rotary Club will host their 19th annual Fly-In Breakfast at the Humboldt Municipal Airport on Sunday, Aug. 11, from 7 a.m. to noon.
This year’s event will feature an appearance by Aaron McCartan, captain of the U.S. Advanced Aerobatic Team. McCartan, who is from Pocahontas, will have a plane on display at the Fly-In. He will give a presentation on the aerobatic team plus a video.
“We’re really excited Aaron is able to come and give a presentation. They will have performed at the air show at Oshkosh, WI, the weekend before. He will be talking about their recent international competition in Romania,” Fly-In organizer and Rotarian Dave Dodgen said.
McCartain will give presentations at 9 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. in the main hangar at the airport.
The big breakfast prepared by the Gronbach Grill Team includes pancakes, eggs, sausage and drink. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-12 and free for children five and under. Tickets are available from any Rotary member or at the door. Breakfast is free to Fly-In pilots.
Airplane rides will be available for $20 per person from 8 a.m. to noon (get there early to sign up).
