Wickett bounces back from injury at Buena Vista

An injury last year has only strengthened the resolve of Humboldt’s Mason Wickett, as he begins his third season on the Buena Vista University football team.
Wickett, who played in all 10 games for the Beavers back in 2017 as a freshman, appeared in eight games last year in the defensive line and is looking to play a key role in 2019.
“Last year, individually, I felt pretty successful. I felt like I was making good contributions to the team up until I got hurt in the middle of the season, so I had to sit out a few games,” Wickett said. “That was the first time I had ever had to sit out for being hurt.”
