Brady Ross has been living out his dream the last four years and the ride is almost over.

Ross, a 2015 Humboldt High School multi-sport standout, has recovered from a major injury and is set to begin his third season as the starting fullback for the University of Iowa football team.

Ross, who enters his fifth and final season with the Hawkeyes, looked back on a path that hasn’t been easy during an interview with the Independent on Aug. 9 at media day in Iowa City.

“I came in here through the back door as a walk on. As a kid, I dreamed of playing here,” Ross said. “Hard to believe it’s almost over.”
