Wildcat girls sweep Lynx, Bears

Humboldt's varsity volleyball team wrapped up their regular season at home on Oct. 17 by sweeping Bishop Garrigan of Algona in three sets. The Wildcats won by scores of 25-11, 29-27 and 26-24 to move their record to 28-5 overall before a Pink Out, Senior Night inside the Humboldt gym.

Humboldt completed their conference portion of their schedule by sweeping Webster City in three sets Oct. 15 in Webster City. The Wildcats won by scores of 25-19, 25-17 and 25-23. The victory improved the Wildcats' record to 27-5 overall, 6-1 and second-place in the North Central Conference.

Humboldt begins post-season tournament play on Oct. 23 when they host Cherokee in a Class 3A Region 2 match. The winner will face Algona or Southeast Valley on Oct. 28 in Humboldt.
