HHS returns 16 lettermen

Things are looking pretty good for the Humboldt wrestling program.
Wildcat head coach Chad Beaman begins his 17th season overall leading the Wildcats. He has compiled a 386-193-3 won-loss record overall with his other coaching stops.
Last year Beaman guided the Wildcats to a 27-5 overall dual mark, including 6-1 and co-champions of the North Central Conference. Thanks to the return of 16 lettermen, hopes are high in the practice room again.
“It has been exciting when you look at our program overall from a community standpoint. We have over 120 kids in our wrestling club in pre-k through sixth grade. We have over 50 wrestlers on our middle school team, which we have never had before,” Beaman said. “I’ve got 34 boys and up to 15 girls on our high school teams.”
“It is very exciting. A lot of people talk about wrestling and that’s what we want to be doing,” Beaman said.
