Wildcats place 6 on all-NCC volleyball team

Humboldt finished 30-6 overall

Led by first-team selections Jori Hajek and Deni McDaniel, the Humboldt volleyball team had six players named to the post-season North Central All-Conference team.
Their selections were announced at the team banquet on Nov. 18 at the high school.
Second-team selections for Humboldt include senior libero back row specialist Carlie Thompson and junior middle hitter Emily Zaugg. Third-team selections include senior middle hitter Mady lange and senior outside hitter Claire Varangkounh.
They helped the Wildcats finish 6-1 and runner-up in the NCC standings, 30-6 overall. Their only loss in the league was to Clarion-Goldfield-Dows, which qualified for the Class 2A state tournament for the second straight year and advanced to the semifinals.
Humboldt reached the final round of regional tournament play for the fifth straight year and lost to eventual 3A state semifinalist Carroll Kuemper.
