What’s new for 2020, how about the Humboldt County website?
After more than a year in the making, the county unveiled its new website this past week. Operating under the same URL, www.humboldtcountyia.org, the new site is much more interactive and “user friendly” as the saying goes, with more drop-down menus of information and easy access to county budgets, board of supervisor minutes, permits and ability to pay vehicle licenses and tax bills online.
Some aspects of the site are still being updated and completed. One that Supervisor Bruce Reimers has been wanting is a citizen’s request page for repairs and services. A direct way for county residents to let officials know if there is an issue on their property, road or drainage district that needs fixed or investigated. People can leave their contact information along with a brief description of their issue and the best way to respond, either by email or phone.
“It’s something I’ve been wanting a long time. It opens up a better line of communication between the county and its citizens,” Reimers said. See this and other Humboldt County news, including all legal notifications in this week's Humboldt Independent. Subscribe by clicking on the link above.
