Wildcat boys dump St. Edmond, fall at Clear Lake

Humboldt’s varsity boys basketball team got off to a slow start at Clear Lake Friday night (Feb. 7) and ended up falling to the Lions, 66-48 in North Central Conference action. Caden Matson scored 15 points and Jacob Thurm had 8 to lead the Wildcat scoring. The Wildcats are now 11-6 overall, 7-5 in the NCC.

Humboldt pushed their season record to 11-5 Tuesday night by turning back Fort Dodge St Edmond, 63-41 in the Humboldt Gym. Sam Fischer scored 15 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to power the Wildcats. Jacob Thurm made 12 points and Gabe Gidel added 10 for Humboldt.

Humboldt returns home to host Webster City on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
