Jamison Heinz made it official last week, he’s becoming a Hawkeye and fulfilling a lifelong dream.
Heinz, a Humboldt High School senior who excels in football, basketball and track, signed a national letter of intent to attend the University of Iowa and play football for the Hawkeyes.
“It feels really good to get that over with and out of the bag. I’m really excited for the opportunity I have in front of me. Coming up here real soon I’ll get the word on whether I’ll be able to attend summer camp in Iowa City or join the team in August,” said Heinz, who will walk-on with hopes of earning a scholarship over time.
