Late rally lifts Cadets over Wildcat boys, 79-69

Iowa Falls-Alden scored 54 points in the second half to rally past Humboldt's boys, 79-69 in a North Central Conference game in Iowa Falls Friday night (Feb. 14). Humboldt, 12-7 overall, 8-6 in the NCC, was led in scoring by Jacob Thurm's 18 points. Sam Fischer made 15, Gabe Gidel 14 and Jamison Heinz with 13. Lincoln Sharar scored 31 to pace the Cadets, 12-8, 9-5.

The two teams will meet for a third time this winter when they face off in a first round district tournament game in Clear Lake on Feb. 24.

Humboldt will host Carroll on Monday, Feb. 17, and visit Storm Lake on Thursday, Feb. 20, to close out its regular season.
