A longtime Humboldt manufacturer has new owners. Hanisch Ltd. was recently sold and is now known as Vision Machining.
Jeff and Tonya Harklau purchased the business from Bob and Bernie Eckberg and Tom and Lisa Diesburg.
Vision Machining is a contract machine shop specializing in CNC turned and milled parts. The company was founded in 1965 by Dale Hanisch. The facility, located at 1310 8th Avenue North, was a bowling alley in its early years. In 2004, the Eckbergs purchased the company from Hanisch and later the Diesburgs became partners.
Jeff Harklau started working at Yacht Club Trailers while in high school and after graduating from Humboldt High School in 1978 he continued with Yacht Club. Today, he serves as vice-president of sales and product development at Yacht Club. He plans to continue working at Yacht Club Trailers, but will also work at his new business along with his son, Josh, and his wife, Tonya.
