Banquet honors Wildcat girls’ program

Mady Lange and Kendal Clark, who combined to average 23.1 points per game this past season for the Humboldt girls’ basketball team, were both named to the North Central All-Conference team.
Humboldt head coach Rodd Mooney made the announcement at the team’s potluck dinner banquet held on March 6 at the high school.
Lange, a senior forward, led Humboldt at 12.1 points per game. Lange also collected 7.1 rebounds, 46 steals, 20 blocks and 41 assists on the year. Lange was a 73.1 percent free throw shooter, hitting 68 of 93 attempts from the line.
Clark handled the post position down low for the Wildcats and scored 11 points per game and grabbed 7.7 rebounds per contest. Clark also had 39 assists, 53 steals and 34 blocked shots.
Clark shot 85 of 181 from from the field and was 4 of 19 from 3-point range. She was also a 56.5 percent free throw shooter, hitting 58 of 103 attempts.
The duo helped the Wildcats finish 11-11 overall, 6-8 and fifth in a very competitive North Central Conference.
