Vitzthum paying his dues at Grand View

Tyler Vitzthum says the increased intensity level was obvious on the first day of football practice last year as a freshman at Grand View University in Des Moines.
The 2019 Humboldt High School graduate joined a NAIA program that has been a national power over the past decade and he was happy to be a part of a new challenge playing at the next level.
“The transition to NAIA is a lot different from high school. It’s fun to be part of better players and better teams. It is definitely more intensive than high school. The training sessions and film sessions,” Vitzthum said. “Some days it seemed hard to get used to and other days it was nice to make that change to a more challenging environment.”
