No. 8 Wildcat boys run second at Webster City

The number eight ranked Humboldt boys cross country team finished runner-up to fifth ranked North Polk in the Webster City Invitational on Sept. 1 at Briggs Woods golf course.

The Wildcats totaled 54 team points. North Polk won with 26. Webster City was third at 129.

Quinton Orr was the overall winner to pace Humboldt, running away from the field in 16:16. Eric Wittrock was second in 17:30. Nolan Jergens was 12th in 18:37. Trevor Jacobson 14th in 18:42.

Next action for Humboldt is the Estherville-LC Invitational on Thursday, Sept. 10. The meet was rescheduled from Sept. 8.
