Livermore native named 3A Coach of the Year

Adam Berte’s transition to coaching softball has been a resounding success.
Berte, a Livermore native and former Twin River Valley High School multi-sport standout who completed his fourth season coaching the Williamsburg High softball team, was recently named Class 3A Coach of the Year by the Iowa Softball Coaches Association.
Berte took over a program that had won only six games in 2016 and has compiled a won-loss record of 100-52 in the last four seasons. He guided Williamsburg to the state tournament back in July, where his team reached the state championship, falling 1-0 to top-ranked Albia.
