HHS girls 7th in Algona Invitational

Paced by Allison Hoag's 27th place finish in 22:26, the Humboldt girls' cross country team finished seventh in the team scoring of the Algona Invitational on Monday, Sept. 28. Spencer won the team title with 56 points, followed by Mason City with 80, Charles City 82, Okoboji 116, Fort Dodge St. Edmond 125, Algona at 177 and Humboldt with 210 out of 15 schools.

Joslyn Orr finished 31st in 22:30 and Kali Beaman was 35th in 22:43. Brett Harklau timed 23:43 for 57th and Sarah Numedahl 64th in 23:59 for the Wildcats' top five counting varsity scores.

Humboldt will run in the Estherville-Lincoln Central Invitational on Thursday, Oct. 1.
