Humboldt County reports 21 new COVID-19 cases in three days

Novel coronavirus cases are spiking around the state and Humboldt County is no exception, with 21 new positive cases within the past three days. Of the new cases, three were ages 0-17, six were ages 18-40, nine were ages 41-60 and three were ages 61-80.
The influx nearly doubled the number of active positive cases in the county with 27 on Monday to 48 reported Thursday.
The Iowa Department of Public Health and Humboldt County Public Health identified seven new cases on Thursday, two are in the 0-17 age group, one is in the 18-40 age group, three are in the 41-60 age range and one is in the 61-80 group.
Of the 232 positive cases in the county, 184 have recovered. There have been two deaths attributable to the virus, one reported on June 1 and one on Aug. 10. Both individuals were in the 61-80 age group.
