Humboldt girls climb to 30-2, at Clarion Thursday in key NCC clash

The Humboldt volleyball team won their 30th victory of the season Tuesday night (Oct. 13) in by sweeping Bishop Garrigan 25-14, 25-21 and 25-17.

Wildcat girls go 3-2 in Mason City tournament
The Humboldt volleyball team went 3-2 in the Mason City tournament last Saturday, Oct. 10.

The Wildcats defeated Central Springs, Clear Lake and Mason City. Humboldt fell to ranked powers Waverley-Shell Rock and Osage.

Wildcat senior Jori Hajek set a school record for career kills, now totaling 1,043.

The Wildcats close out the last week of the regular season when they visit Clarion-Goldfield-Dows (Oct. 15) on Thursday. With both teams unbeaten, the match will determine the outright North Central Conference champion.

Humboldt will host Algona in a Class 3A first round regional match on Monday, Oct. 19.
