Red Flag Warning issued in county

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has issued a red flag warning today (Wednesday) from 1-8 p.m. in Humboldt County, warning of an elevated fire danger.
A Red Flag Warning means that warm temperatures, very low humidity and strong winds will combine for an increase risk of fire danger.
Citizens are advised to avoid open burning, using lawn mowers on dry vegetation, chainsaws, movers or other equipment during these hours, if possible.
Farmers using harvesting or tillage equipment are also advised to be careful of potential sparking of dry stubble that could create a blaze.
