Open house for new animal shelter is Nov. 7

The public will have an opportunity to come see the new Moffitt Animal Shelter during an Open House on Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The shelter is located at 1308 19th Street North in Humboldt (north of ADF Systems and south of Union Cemetery).
People are encouraged to bring something for the shelter to the Open House (see list of needed items later in this story), or make monetary contributions (send to PO Box 123, Humboldt, IA 50548). Cookies and refreshments will be served.
Members of the Humboldt High School Student Senate will also be taking donations on Nov. 7 from 9-11 a.m. in front of Hy-Vee, Fareway and Bomgaars.
