EARN SCHOOL'S FIRST EVER STATE TOURNAMENT TRIP

The Humboldt volleyball team earned the school's first ever trip to the state tournament after they held off MOC-Floyd Valley, 3-2 in a Class 3A Region 2 championship match in Schaller Tuesday night (Oct. 27).

The Wildcats, 33-3 overall and ranked 10th in the latest rankings, defeated the Dutch by scores of 25-21, 25-20, 22-25, 23-25 and 18-16.

Humboldt will face top-ranked Osage in the first round at state on Monday, Nov. 2, 8 p.m. inside the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.
