Quinton Orr, the most dominant runner in the history of Humboldt cross country, closed out his career by placing runner-up in the Class 3A state championship on Friday, Oct. 30, at Lakeside Golf Course in Fort Dodge.

Orr finished runner-up for the third consecutive year as he finished with a time of 15:48. Defending champ Nate Mueller of Adel-ADM pulled away from Orr in the last half of the race to finish first in 15:28.7.
