Quinton Orr signs with Iowa State

Humboldt High School distance running standout Quinton Orr, one of the top runners in the state, made it official on Nov. 19 by signing a national letter of intent to attend Iowa State University in Ames and run cross country and track for the Cyclones.

Orr, who shattered all kinds of records at Humboldt, was a Class 3A state runner-up for three consecutive seasons. Orr, son of Dave and Allison Orr of Humboldt, hopes to earn a degree in the school of veterinary science at Iowa State.
