Humboldt girls turn back Iowa Falls-Alden, 51-42

Humboldt's varsity girls basketball team held off a late rally by Iowa Falls-Alden to upend the Cadets, 51-42 in a North Central Conference game in the Humboldt gym Friday night (Jan. 8).

Jayda Hoefer scored 17 points, Bae Arnold had 11 and Kendal Clark made 10 for Humboldt, 9-2 overall, 4-1 in conference play.

Wildcat girls climb to 8-2 overall
Jori Hajek scored 16 points and Bae Arnold made 10 to lead the Humboldt girls basketball team past Garner-Hayfield/Ventura, 38-37 Tuesday night (Jan. 5) in the Humboldt gym in non-conference action.

The victory moved the Wildcats' record to 8-2 overall. Humboldt returns to action at home on Friday, Jan. 8, when they host Iowa Falls-Alden.

Humboldt returned to action after the Christmas break by rolling past Belmond-Klemme, 64-33 in non-conference play in Belmond on Jan. 4. Hajek again paced the Wildcats by scoring 16 points. Arnold made 15. Kendal Clark had 12 points and 12 rebounds.
