Wildcat girls top Titans, fall to Lions

The Humboldt girls basketball team traveled to Clear Lake on Jan. 21 and lost a 71-33 North Central Conference game to the Lions. Humboldt's loss moved the Wildcats to 10-3 overall, 5-2 in conference play.

Humboldt rallied past South Central Calhoun, 68-67 in overtime on Jan. 12 in Rockwell City in non-conference action. It was Humboldt’s ninth straight victory as the Wildcats improved to 11-2 overall.

Wildcat girls clip Lynx, 48-31
The Humboldt girls' basketball team won their eighth straight game on Jan. 11 by stopping the Webster City Lynx, 48-31 in North Central Conference action at Webster City. Bae Arnold scored 14 points and Jori Hajek was next with nine to spark the Wildcats.

The Wildcats return to conference play on Jan. 26 at at home against Algona. Humboldt's Jan. 19 home game against Webster City was postponed due to inclement weather conditions. It will be played on Monday, Feb. 1.

Humboldt's scheduled game at Clarion on Jan. 15 has been moved to Saturday, Jan. 30. The schedule that day has the JV girls playing first at 1:30 p.m., followed by the JV boys, varsity girls and varsity boys.
