Wildcat girls win 2nd indoor track meet

The Humboldt girls' track team won their second team title in the past week by leading the field in their indoor home meet on March 19 inside the Nielsen Family Recreation Center.

The Wildcats totaled 111 points to lead the field. Forest City was runner-up at 83 points. Pocahontas Area was third at 50.5, followed by South Hamilton (38) and Aplington-Parkersburg (32.5).

First-place finishes by the Wildcats include Paige DeWinter in the 200-meters, Kendal Clark in the shot put, Lily Groat in the 60-meter hurdles, the 4x200 relay, the 4x400 relay, the 4x800 relay and the shuttle hurdle relay. Clark's 42-10.5 throw in the shot broke the school record of 42-7 which she set a week earlier.
