The Humboldt County Community Foundation (HCCF) announced nearly $110,000 in grant awards this past week.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and suggested restrictions for large group social gatherings, the HCCF informed grant recipients individually and dispensed with the traditional award presentation ceremony.
A total of one dozen county non-profit groups will receive a total of $109,500 in community grant funding for the coming year. The total reflects 47 percent of the $233,343.50 in requests received from various county non-profit groups for one-time and ongoing improvement projects.
