Humboldt boys win title at Eagle Grove

The Humboldt boys' track team won nine events and claimed the team title in the Eagle Grove Umstead Relays on Tuesday, April 6 in Eagle Grove.

Humboldt finished with 158 points to top the field. Conference foe Webster City was second at 131. Iowa Falls-Alden was fifth with 56.

The Wildcats' first-place finishes came in the following events: 4x400 relay (3:35) of Caden Matson, Cale Hundertmark, Quinton Orr and Eric Wittrock; Caden Matson in the 110-meter high hurdles; Quinton Orr in the 800-meters; Eric Wittrock in the 400-meters; the shuttle hurdle relay of Jordan Coon, Aiden Christensen, Sam Fischer and Troy Gerjets; the 4x800 relay of Nolan Jergens, Trevor Jacobson, Wittrock and Orr; the sprint medley relay of Jordan Coon, Ryder Wickett, Lance Coon and Cale Hundertmark and Lance Coon in the long jump (20-4).

Humboldt will host the Charlie Bunn Relays on Friday, April 9.
