Lee named parade Grand Marshal

This is a patriotic entry from last year’s July 4th parade. Check out Humboldtiowaparade.com for entry sheets. Humboldt Independent file photo.

If everyone was as active a volunteer as David Lee of Dakota City, imagine what our community could become.
Lee has put service to others above himself in a number of different ways, and because of his service to Humboldt County and its citizens, he is being recognized as the Grand Marshal for the 2021 July 4th parade.
Parade organizers Bryan and Brandy Satern, Cody and Delayna Lawman, David and Tina Jones and Doug and Gena Vinsand are looking for entries for the annual parade, which will be back on the traditional route, beginning and ending at Taft Park and running through downtown and past the Methodist and Catholic churches. Entries can be e-mailed to humboldtiowaparade@gmail.com. Please include contact name, phone number, email and a brief description of the entry. People may also call or text (515) 890-1441 or (515) 351-1559 to sign up.
