Wildcat girls dump Garrigan, 18-10

The Humboldt softball team got back on the winning track Thursday night (June 24) by beating Algona Bishop Garrigan, 18-10 in Algona. Kendal Clark was 4-for-5 at bat and Jori Hajek 3-for-4 to lead Humboldt's offense. Alexis Hansen and Ashlee Wergeland also had multiple hits. Elsie Hubbell pitched all seven innings to earn the win.

Humboldt is 11-9 overall.

Algona tops Humboldt girls, 11-7
Algona handed the Humboldt softball team an 11-7 setback in eight innings on Wednesday night (June 23) in Humboldt in conference play. The loss slipped the Wildcats to 5-5 in the North Central Conference.

Jori Hajek hit a homer and doubled to lead Humboldt. Elsie Hubbell and Rylee Coyle also hit doubles. Brianna Lange, Hubbell and Kendal Clark shared the pitching for Humboldt, which moved to 10-9 overall on the season.

Wildcat girls hold off FDSE, 10-9
The Humboldt softball team won their second straight game on Wednesday afternoon (June 23) by holding off Fort Dodge St. Edmond, 10-9 in a game that was finished up after being halted Tuesday night due to lengthy lightning delays. Kendal Clark pitched five and two-thirds innings to get the win for the Wildcats with Elsie Hubbell finishing up.

Jori Hajek homered and doubled at the plate to lead Humboldt. Alexis Hansen doubled twice.

Humboldt outlasts Cowgirls, 26-16
Humboldt softball team got back into the win column Monday night (June 21) in Clarion by outlasting the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Cowgirls, 26-16 in five innings.

Kendal Clark and Reagan Lee each homered to lead Humboldt's offense. Jori Hajek doubled and tripled. Alexis Hansen tripled. Hubbell hit three doubles and Rylee Coyle doubled once. Wildcat starting pitcher Elsie Hubbell earned the win, working the first three innings. Clark threw the final two innings in relief.

The Wildcats' game at Hampton on June 25 was called off due to thunderstorms. It will not be made up..

Humboldt was supposed to play in the Boone tournament on Saturday, but the event was canceled due to inclement weather.
