Webster City downs Wildcat girls, 9-6

The Humboldt softball team led the Webster City Lynx early on but couldn't hold their lead as the Lynx went on to post a 9-6 victory over the Wildcats Friday night (July 2) in a North Central Conference game in Webster City.

Jori Hajek and Rylee Coyle both hit doubles for Humboldt. The loss ends Humboldt's regular season at 12-12 overall, 5-8 in the NCC. Webster City wins the NCC championship with a 13-1 record.

Cadets rally past Humboldt girls, 11-7
Iowa Falls-Alden rallied from a 6-1 deficit to defeat Humboldt, 11-7 in Iowa Falls Wednesday night (June 30) in NCC softball action. Humboldt slipped to 12-11 overall, 5-7 in the NCC.

Humboldt outhits Pocahontas Area
The Humboldt softball team got back on the winning track Tuesday night by outhitting Pocahontas Area, 18-16 in non-conference action.

Kendal Clark homered and doubled and Addison Thompson was 3-for-5 with a home run to power the Wildcats, 12-10 overall.

Humboldt girls fall to Clear Lake, 22-15
Humboldt fell at home to the Clear Lake Lions, 22-15 Monday night (June 28).

The loss dropped Humboldt to 11-10 overall, 5-6 in the North Central Conference.

Kendal Clark hit 2 home runs and Rylee Coyle and Reagan Lee also homered for Humboldt.

The Wildcats begin post-season tournament play at Iowa Falls on July 6 in a 7 p.m. contest. The winner will play Roland-Story or Southeast Valley on July 6.
