Jennifer Vought of Dakota City has opened her own medical practice called Midwest Medical Family Practice and Mental Health on Highway 3 West (next to Fareway).
Midwest Medical offers general family practice medicine as well as mental health care for all ages.
Midwest Medical is currently open Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and eventually will be open on Fridays as well. Midwest Medical offers scheduled and same day appointments by calling (515) 332-8808.
The clinic building has been totally remodeled since the Voughts purchased the property from Lee Smith. There are two exam rooms, an area for a future lab, reception area, waiting room and offices. Jennifer and her husband, Tim, have plans to expand the building in the future to accommodate additional providers as well as therapists.
Vought graduated with her R.N. degree from Iowa Central Community College in 1995, and later obtained her BSN in Nursing from Briar Cliff in 2014, and her Master’s degree from Allen College in 2017 to become a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner. Vought worked for Mercy in Fort Dodge from 2017-2019.
