Wildcat boys run 5th in Webster City meet

The Humboldt boys cross country team opened their season Tuesday night (Aug. 31) by placing fifth in the team scoring of the Webster City Lynx Invitational held at Briggs Woods Golf Course.

Humboldt totaled 181 points. They finished behind North Polk (33), Waverly-Shell Rock (62), Fort Dodge St. Edmond (141) and Algona (163). A total of 12 schools fielded full lineups out of 17 overall.

Trevor Jacobson led the Wildcats by placing eighth in 17:40. Jackson Chambers was 19th in 18:23 and Carter Hatcher 31st in 19:08. Jordan Coon was 43rd in 19:41 and Aaron Boleyn was 80th in 21:09. Jaxon Bohan-Martin was 81st in 21:14.

Next action for the Wildcats will be the Estherville-Lincoln Central Invitational on Sept. 7.
