Get ready for Cy-Hawk Rivalry on Sumner Sept. 9

The 16th annual Cy-Hawk Golf Tournament was held Saturday at Humboldt Country Club with the Hawks narrowly prevailing. Over the 16 years, the series is now tied at 8-8. The tournament draws a field of 68 golfers and starts with a two-person best shot, followed by a two-person alternating shot round and ending with individual match play. The Cy-Hawk golf tournament serves as a fundraiser for the golf course and was a kickoff to the upcoming activities in town on Sept. 9. Humboldt Independent photo by Jeff Gargano.
