Kahl and Vik chosen for All-State Chorus

Jordan Kahl and Collin Vik of Humboldt High School have attained the highest individual honor available to Iowa high school musicians by being selected as a member of the 2021 All-State Chorus. Jordan is the daughter of Dan and Lissa Kahl of Humboldt and is a voice student of Bruce Perry and Michael Blair. Collin is the son of Greg and Cindy Vik of Humboldt and is a voice student of Jill Phillips and Michael Blair.
The 2021 Festival will celebrate the 75th anniversary of this prestigious event. District Auditions for the 278-piece All-State Band, 214-piece All-State Orchestra, and 602-member All-State Chorus were held Saturday, Oct. 23. The festival will be held Saturday, Nov. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at Hilton Coliseum in Ames. The concert will be recorded and aired on Iowa Public Television.
