Construction of a 4,160 square foot addition is underway at Syntex Industries, located on Highway 169 in Humboldt.
It is the third expansion since Craig Heider purchased the company in 2001. Syntex has grown from five employees to 20 employees over those 20 years and is looking to add a couple of more people.
Berte and Son Construction is the general contractor on the project. The building shell is expected to be completed in December, but Heider said reshuffling various departments and planned interior changes could take up to a year to complete.
