Drive through light show at Sheldon and lighted parade


A local tradition will be returning this season with a lighted holiday parade through downtown Humboldt on Saturday, Nov. 27 at 7 p.m. The route will start at Taft Elementary School and west to 8th Street, south to Sumner Avenue and east to 4th Street, north to 1st Avenue North and west to 5th Street North, where it will conclude. Shine on at Sheldon will take place starting Friday, Dec. 3, 4 and 5 at Upper Sheldon Park from 6-9 p.m. each night. Cost is $5 per vehicle for the drive-through display.
Shine on at Sheldon continues Dec. 10, 11 and 12, and Dec. 17, 18 and 19.
The event is sponsored by Voltage Ink.
Voltage Ink is also presenting the Hometown Christmas Parade of Lights on Saturday, Nov. 27, at 7 p.m.
Parade lineup is at 6:30 p.m.
The parade route travels from Taft Elementary to 8th Street, then south to Sumner, then east on Sumner to 4th Street, then north to 1st Avenue North, then west where it will end at 5th Street North.
